The RUBI Program Live Workshop is a live two-day workshop that provides practitioners with a strong foundation for beginning clinical practice using the RUBI Parent Training program. Learners develop an understanding of the theoretical foundations of RUBI while building practical skills to implement the model with fidelity and navigate common clinical challenges. The workshop covers RUBI Foundations, core sessions and caregiver engagement strategies, with an emphasis on applied learning and the development of effective, family-centered RUBI intervention plans.
Upon completion of the RUBI Program Live Workshop, practitioners are prepared to deliver RUBI Parent Training clinically with fidelity and confidence. Learners demonstrate the ability to implement RUBI core sessions, engage caregivers effectively, and apply clinical decision-making across diverse family contexts. Successful completion of the RUBI Workshop results in the designation or title of RUBI Trained Practitioner, with inclusion in on the RUBI Network directory.
The RUBI Program Live Workshop is a 13-hour, multi-day live virtual session. The workshop emphasizes applied learning through instruction, discussion, and guided practice. Following the worksop learners must pass a final exam and a fidelity assessment, submitting one mock RUBI session for review.
RUBI is a short-term, low-intensity, manualized, parent-mediated program grounded in applied behavior analysis (ABA). The program guides practitioners in teaching tailored behavioral strategies to families of children with autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, and co-occurring challenging behaviors. RUBI emphasizes empowering caregivers as agents of change by strengthening their ability to understand, scaffold and respond to their child’s behavior in everyday contexts.
