Take the Next Step, Get Your RUBI Certification
Excellence demands mastery. The RUBI Advanced Certification Program is an intensive program that prepares you to deliver RUBI with the highest fidelity and enables you to mentor others in your practice.
The RUBI Advanced Certification Program is designed to deepen practitioner expertise and confidence in high-fidelity RUBI implementation. Using a clinical coaching model, the program emphasizes advanced clinical decision-making, caregiver collaboration and the concept of “flexibility within fidelity.” Practitioners learn to adapt RUBI responsively while maintaining adherence to evidence-based standards to meet the unique needs of autistic youth and their families.
Upon completion of the RUBI Advanced Certification Program, practitioners demonstrate advanced competency in high-fidelity RUBI implementation and are prepared to support families and clinicians at their site of practice through complex clinical presentations. Learners develop expertise in navigating “flexibility within fidelity” while maintaining adherence to evidence-based standards. Successful completion of the RUBI Program results in the designation or title of RUBI Certified Practitioner, with inclusion on the RUBI Network directory.
The RUBI Advanced Certification Program is an intensive clinical coaching program. Learners engage in 20 synchronous small-group consultation sessions with a RUBI Certified Trainer. The learner is also expected to implement RUBI with their own clients and submit recorded sessions of the 11 Core RUBI sessions as fidelity assignments for review. Learners may either implement fidelity sessions with their own clients or choose to use a confederate (friend/colleague) to simulate a client. The Advanced Program includes ongoing feedback, problem-solving, and advanced case consultation.
RUBI is a short-term, low-intensity, manualized, parent-mediated program grounded in applied behavior analysis (ABA). The program guides practitioners in teaching tailored behavioral strategies to families of children with autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, and co-occurring challenging behaviors. RUBI emphasizes empowering caregivers as agents of change by strengthening their ability to understand, scaffold, and respond to their child’s behavior in everyday contexts.
