Calibrate ABA Program
Make Lasting Change at Home
Transform dangerous behaviors into safer, more connected family environments with proven ABA strategies.
Improve Family Dynamics by Reducing Dangerous Behavior
Using parent-mediated ABA strategies, you’ll learn how to coach families and caregivers to reduce dangerous behaviors in children with autism and other I/DDs, helping them to feel more confident in their care at home.
The Calibrate ABA Program prepares clinicians to coach caregivers in using evidence-based strategies to reduce dangerous or severe behaviors in children and adolescents with developmental disabilities. Learners build skills in collaborating with caregivers to design and implement effective behavior support plans focused on safety, prevention and skill-building. The program emphasizes reducing behaviors that may result in injury, emergency intervention or involvement with law enforcement, supporting safer outcomes for youth and their families.
Upon completion of the Calibrate ABA Program, clinicians are able to teach caregivers to implement function-specific behavioral strategies that decrease dangerous or severe behaviors. Learners demonstrate the ability to guide caregivers in the accurate and effective use of a Behavior Support Plan to improve safety and reduce risk for the individual and their family. Successful completion of the program results in the designation or title of Calibrate ABA Trained Clinician.
The Calibrate ABA program is a primarily asynchronous, online program that learners complete at their own pace. Coursework focuses on core behavioral concepts and the practical application of Calibrate ABA tools in clinical practice. The program culminates in a live virtual capstone session centered on applied learning, followed by a fidelity assessment in which learners develop and submit a behavior support plan for review to support accurate and consistent implementation of Calibrate ABA.
Calibrate ABA is a parent-mediated intervention grounded in applied behavior analysis (ABA). The program is specifically designed to address dangerous or severe behaviors in children, adolescents, and adults with autism or other developmental disabilities. Calibrate equips caregivers with practical tools and coaching strategies to reduce high-risk behaviors and promote safer, more supportive home and community environments.
