RUBI Workshop
Strengthen Your Parent-Coaching Abilities
Engage in a multi-day, interactive training experience that blends theory, clinical application and hands-on learning to prepare you to deliver RUBI to support families.
Reinforce Your RUBI Intervention Plans
Gain the clarity, structure and applied skills needed to deliver RUBI with fidelity. Dive deeper into your RUBI plans to help families achieve meaningful, lasting behavior change.
This live RUBI workshop is designed to provide practitioners with a strong foundation to begin their clinical practice of RUBI. In this program, you will learn how to implement RUBI to fidelity, understanding both the theoretical underpinnings as well as practical application, including navigation of common clinical challenges. The program covers RUBI Foundations, RUBI Core Sessions and Caregiver Engagement Strategies, where practitioners learn approaches to create effective, family-centered RUBI intervention plans.
Upon completion of RUBI training, the expectation is that a RUBI Trained Practitioner is ready to deliver RUBI clinically to a diverse range of families with fidelity.
The RUBI workshop is a 13-hour, multi-day live virtual session where learners log in via Zoom and are led by a RUBI instructor. After the workshop, learners then complete a final exam and fidelity review with feedback on one submitted mock RUBI session.
RUBI is a short-term, low intensity, manualized parent-mediated program that guides practitioners in the teaching of tailored ABA-based behavioral strategies to families of children with autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities and co-occurring challenging behaviors. RUBI empowers parents to become an agent of change as they learn approaches that are designed to better scaffold and respond to their child’s behaviors.
Who should take this program?
This program is designed for practitioners whose scope of practice includes working with families of neurodiverse children (autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities, ADHD) with co-occurring challenging behaviors and who wish to expand their understanding of RUBI program content and implementation to better support caregivers.
Learners who successfully complete the RUBI Program will receive a certificate of completion and relevant continuing education units. Learners will also receive the designation of “RUBI Trained Practitioner” and will be listed on the RUBInetwork.org website.
